Land Acknowledgment
We acknowledge with respect the Onondaga Nation, Firekeepers of the Haudenosaunee, the Indigenous Peoples, the original stewards of the place now known as Oswego. May we keep the First Peoples of this land in our hearts and minds as we discuss issues affecting their ancestral homelands.
Keynote Speakers
Friday 09/30 – Bill Evans – Nocturnal migration in New York – Presentation and outdoor field trip to listen for the flight calls of birds migrating past us in the dark.
Saturday 10/01 – Scott Weidensaul – This eminent author and researcher will entertain us with a keynote address entitled “A World on the Wing: The Global Odyssey of Migratory Birds,” based on his best selling novel. (Single day tickets for this speaker + dinner are available)

Call for Proposals
The scientific paper session will be on Saturday from 1:30-5:00 pm. Presenters will be given 15 minutes to present their research and to respond to questions (e.g., 10-12 minutes for a presentation, 3-5 minutes for questions). Abstract submission is now closed. Speakers will be notified by September 15th of their acceptance for inclusion in the scientific session.
Registration Details
After August 31st, Full Conference ($160): includes dinner Friday and Saturday nights and access to all conference activities (field trips, paper presentations, and speakers both nights).
Student, Full Conference ($60):includes dinner Friday and Saturday nights and access to all conference activities (field trips, paper presentations, and speakers both nights).
Weidensaul Presentation Only ($100): includes a banquet dinner Saturday and access to Saturday night’s speaker.
*We will not be hosting lunch on Saturday, and lunch will be on your own that day. There is a lunch option for Sunday, see details below. Please note that if you are staying at the conference hotel, breakfast is included in your stay.
